A resident of Michigan, Andrew Whiteman supports various Michigan organizations, including the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Zoo. Andrew Whiteman also enjoys spending time in the outdoors as a biking enthusiast.

With more than 1,300 miles of bike trails, Michigan offers beautiful landscapes for bikers of all abilities, including hardcore mountain bikers and casual Sunday bikers. Below is a list of trails in the Detroit area.

1. Kal-Haven Bike Trail: This trail runs between Kalamazoo and Kal-Haven Trail State Park, offering shade through numerous wooded areas and a slight mountain biking feel with its gravel surface.

2. Lower Rouge Recreation Trail: Offering both paved and dirt trails, this area is ideal for bikers who want a nice mix of terrain.

3. Clinton River Trail: This trail runs alongside 16 miles of abandoned rail track through several cities in Michigan, including Sylvan Lake and Rochester Hills. It will eventually be part of a longer system of trails called the Great Lake to Lake Trail.
